Manchester City's Elite Development Squad got our new Premier League 2 season off to the perfect start as we ran out 3-0 winners over Liverpool in Merseyside. Adedire Mebude scored with just eight minutes on the clock before adding another to his tally just after the hour mark. 

Substitute Dan Ogwuru grabbed our third with 20 minutes left to play to round off what was a dominant display from Brian Barry-Murphy's youngsters.
