An albino lion pawed at its bedroom door at its home in Thailand. CCTV footage shows the one-year-old male beast named Cigar scratching at its bedroom door after it accidentally swung shut on May 19. Cigar's caretaker Akaranan Thiwatsoranan said the lion was staying by itself at the house located in an undisclosed area away from neighbourhoods because it was too tame to live in the wild. A gorilla shared a sweet moment with a man she's known her whole life - stealing his hat and giving him tender hug. Video shows Damian Aspinall, an animal conservationist, crouched in front of Tambabi, 37. The sweet encounter happened at Howletts Wild Animal Park in Canterbury, Kent, which is owned by The Aspinall Foundation, whose Damian is the chairman. The pair shared this moment on November 11 when Damian visited Howletts, which was started by his father. Tambabi was born in the park and Damian, 63, has known her since birth. The gorilla and her family are very close to him. In the video, Tambabi can be heard grunting and gurgling, which is how the animals communicate. According to a Howletts spokesperson, by making those sounds Tambabi is "intimating very loving sounds." The Aspinall Foundation works with wild animals and specifically gorillas. They protect a gorilla habitat the size of Kent on the Batk Plateau in central Africa and have saved more than 1,000 animal lives. According to the Howletts spokesperson, the trust Tambabi shows in the footage is very rare. They said: "Tambabi and this family of gorillas only interact in this way with Damian and his conservationist daughter Freya Aspinall. " "Tambabi has known both Damian and Freya since her birth." The park hasn't attempted such close contact between Tambabi and anyone else. They added: "It has not been attempted with anyone else other than Damian and Freya." An angry elephant charged a safari jeep before crushing a tree effortlessly while chasing the vehicle down the road. Christiaan Swanepoel was leading a tour through Welgevonden Game Reserve, South Africa, when they came across a giant animal in musth. Tense footage shows the 25-year-old guide carefully reversing away from the five-tonne elephant as it ran headfirst at his guests. Despite seeming to lose interest in Christiaan, the bull flattened a tree with ease while chasing them all the way to another road where they could speed away to safety. Christiaan said: In short this bull was trying to assert dominance. Musth means an elephants testosterone can be about 40-50 times higher than normal. When you have that much testosterone in an animal that weighs more than five tonnes, it is a tense time. I have been a guide for five years and this has happened before to me but its always nerve-wracking as every situation can be different. You have to stand your ground while also giving the elephant enough space to try and defuse the situation. Fortunately I was able to reverse away from the bull before speeding away to safety.
