劍橋大學出版社2020年出版

Musto, Marcello是加拿大學York大學社會學系副教授。雖然他才40+歲，但作品已經被翻譯成26種語言，是當代馬克思學（研究MEGA2而非法國義大利式的學者，如奈格里）的代表人物。當然，他本人也可以以5種語言作為寫作語言。
中文界已經出版了他的幾本著作和編著，如《馬克思的<大綱> ：<政治經濟學批判大綱>150年》。
不過，2020年這本書，目前還看不到目錄，沒法了解。

牛津大學出版社，明年要出本《韋伯手冊》：

主編Edith Hanke是《韋伯全集》（the Max Weber-Gesamtausgabe ）的編輯室主任（managing editor），任職於the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Munich。
——沒錯，是位女性學者！連《韋伯全集》主編都是女性學者，沒法再說女性如何不適合搞理論了吧！
東海大學社會學系鄭志成老師（參與編輯《韋伯全集》的《法律社會學》卷）在他去年的一篇文章說到《韋伯全集》進展

這是一個自1980年構思策劃，1984年開始陸續出版，迄今已出版50卷冊，卻仍未竣工的龐大學術工程。兩週前從韋伯全集編輯室主任Edith Hanke處得知，韋伯全集第一部分「論文與演講」(MWG/I)中，關於兩卷方法論《方法論，1903-1907》（MWG I/7；書名暫訂）以及《理解社會學與免於價值判斷，1908-1917》（MWG I/12）可望於未來一年（2018）出版面世。意謂著韋伯全集第一部分「論文與演講」即將大功告成。
說到德國的社會學，明年還會出一本文選《現代德國社會學》，重印收集了近百年來各路德國社會學家的一些作品。這是中國社會學界翻譯，還非常缺的一種文類，像蘇國勛、劉小楓當時編譯的四卷本《社會理論》黑皮書一樣。不過那套書翻譯太爛了。其實，在英文界有非常多的這種文選，Routledge的這個書系是Routledge Revivals，還有很多8090年代的著作，也被重印出來。因此，不用中文界自己再去編，比如Sage就出過Strucutre/agency的文選（Mike O'Donnell 2010），收錄從塗爾干到當代美國的網絡學派對於這些概念的論文合集，還包括在性別、職業研究等領域的應用。只不過這種文選的版權太難搞了。

想到德國社會學，就不免想到批判理論。明年還會出兩本書：

Delanty, Gerard已經出了兩個中譯本，一是《歷史社會學手冊》，還有
《知識社會中的大學》。el-Ojeili, Chamsy作品，是近年社會學/理論研究的「未來取向」，不管是探討「真實的烏托邦」還是探討期望/希望等議題。
明年另一值得期待的理論作品，是近十幾年來，唯一一位以純理論研究為博士論文的美國社會學學者Isaac Reed。他每篇論文發出來，我都會去跟，雖然能看出他把power作為博士論文（Interpretation and Social Knowledge: On the Use of Theory in the Human Sciences，2011年芝大出版社）之後的第二個議題，但是再看他明年又在芝大出版社的專著，還是和他近幾年發表的論文有些不同，並非論文集，花了相當時間再去改進提升。
他大概在探討，「國王的兩個身體」如何在現代化過程中被拆開。作為詮釋論取向的代表學者，這個「拆開」也能理解到他近年的實用主義轉向。我在2016年發表研究《叫魂》一書時，也想從這個角度來談，遺憾後來不知道用什麼理論資源去跟進。
可以預估，這本書肯定會拿過幾年的美國社會學學會的年度著作獎（文化/歷史/理論section）。

明年還會出的一本，具歷史社會學趣味的，是Fordal, Clayton的博士論文，談西方政治/宗教歷史上的「犧牲/獻祭」。這個議題在中國史上還沒有專門討論過。我在2017年發表研究《意識形態正當性：明清易代與天命—正統》時，注意到他的博士論文，因為魏斐德的《洪業》的書末，就是以范、馬兩家在吳三桂威脅時「盡忠」於康熙，於是被視為天命轉移的體現。

同樣研究歷史，但更理論意味的，明年有復旦大學的唐世平老師的英文專著，談社會演化，是向埃利亞斯致敬的著作。我最近也在研究Elias，這本應是必讀了。

另一本尺度更小的，是老將柯林斯的《卡里斯瑪：微觀社會理論》，應是《暴力：微觀社會理論》的續作。近年有些學者在發展韋伯的概念，在Sociological Theory等刊物上都有發表（還有位在香港大學社會系任教）。
不過，最值得說的是：這本書可能是社會學界第一本研究江青的作品！！！

同樣談微觀的，明年會有些社會學意味的行動/認知哲學的研究出版。其實，吉登斯當時寫書時，自陳不從英美行動哲學入手，而改從現象學這些方式進入，確實因為當年行動哲學不夠社會學。但如今英美的行動哲學研究似乎在經歷社會轉向，很多在談collective, shared, group agency之類的。時過境遷，我們批判的外學科已經超上來，也許是要另眼看資源了。
