sb be afraid that 某人擔心…，that後接不喜歡的事態、狀態。從會話中可以看到I'm afraid so.(很遺憾，我認為是的。) I'm afraid not. (很遺憾，我覺得不對。)
stress sb out (使某人倍感壓力)，給人很多壓力，讓人緊張。在用me/her /him/them等人稱代詞時，要介於stress和out之間，除此之外要介於stress out sb。如：
√My parents stress out my husband.我的父母使我丈夫很有壓力。
√My parents stress him out. 我的父母使他很有壓力。

overall「整體上」。不全否定，承認也有advantage的基礎上，disadvantage更多，部分讓步。
A outweigh B 可以和A is more important than B替換。
The overall negatives outweigh the positives.
總的負面影響大於正面影響。
The overall problems outweigh the benefits.
總體問題大於好處。
The overall costs outweigh the benefits.
總體成本大於收益。
The overall risks outweigh the benefits.
總體風險大於收益。

minimize… 後接不好的內容，表示「把不好的事情最小化」。不能說危險完全消失，根據現實的理論進行判斷，意見的妥當性增加。
the risk of用來表示可能發生的危險。「承擔風險」除了take a risk，也可以用run a risk來表示。另外，the risk of的後面接續動詞時，要用動名詞的形式。例如，Sometimes everyone has to run the risk of hurting someone’s feelings. (每個人都要冒著傷害他人利益的風險。)
