一 、 抓周儀式
在中國,小孩的抓周(one-year- old catch)儀式獨具特色。文獻上有關抓周的記載,可上溯到南北朝時期
(the Southern and Northem Dynasties)。新生兒周歲時家裡的長輩將各種物品擺放於小孩面前,任其抓

The one-year-old catch rite of a child is of unique characteristic in China. The literature records about
this rite can be dated back to the Southern and Northern Dynas-ties. On the day when a baby is one
year old, various kinds of articles are placed in front of the baby by the elders, so that the baby can
choose freely by itself. Traditionally, books, paper, pens, money, jewelries and toys would appear on
this occasion. Adults can make predictions about the baby's potential interest, future career and
prospect according to what the baby has chosen. The ceremony also implies that the elder place
good expectations on the baby.
二、.皮影戲
皮影戲( the shadow puppetry)又稱「影子戲」,是中國著名的民間戲劇形式之一。表演時,藝人們在白色幕
布後面,一邊操縱用獸皮或紙板製作的人偶(puppets),一邊用當地流行的曲調講述故事,同時配以打擊樂
器( percussion)和弦樂( strings),具有濃厚的鄉土氣息。有時表演者需要控制三到四個人偶。皮影戲在我
國歷史悠久,元代還曾傳到世界上很多國家,迷倒了不少國外戲迷。

The shadow puppetry, known as "shadow play"as well, is one of Chinas folk drama forms. When
performing, the artists manipulate puppets made of animal or paper boards behind a white curtain,

Chopsticks, which are one of the vital symbols that would most reflect the characteristics and
traditions of the cuisine culture in China, originate from China. No matter when and where, it is
difficult for Chinese to eat without chopsticks, Chopsticks are usually made of bamboo, plastic, wood
and stainless steel. During ancient times, the rich families used jade or gold chopsticks to show their
wealth, while many emperors used silver chopsticks to see whether their food was poisoned or not.

四、相聲
相聲( cross talk)是中國最重要的表演藝術之一,起源於華北地區的民間說唱曲藝。共有三種不同形式,分
別由一人、兩人和多人表演。其中,由兩人表演的對口相聲最為流行。最初,「相聲」一詞是指模仿別人的
言談舉止。現代相聲包含四種基本技能:說、學、逗( tease)、唱。由於相聲的許多內容是笑話和有趣的
故事,語言幽默而又諷刺,因此深受人民群眾的喜愛

Cross talk originated from folk vocal art form in areas of North China，is one of the most significant
performing arts in China. It includes three different forms, performing respectively by one person, two
persons and more. Among which, cross talk performe by two persons is the most popular. Initially, the
word"cross talk" referred to imitating others'speech and deportment. There are four basic skills in
modern cross talk: speaking, imitating, leasing and singing. Because lots of its contents are jokes and

Although the renewable energies continuously rise, fossil fuel is still the main energy source used in
our country. In the contemporary world energy structure, coal takes the main share, with petroleum
and natural gas following. Forecasted by scientists, petroleum will dry up in 40 years, natural gas will
be used up within 60 years, even coal would only supply for another 220 years. Hence, in order to
solve the problem of inadequale energy supply in China, exploring new and renewable energy
sources will be reasonable way to keep in line with international trends.
六、中美貿易
