故事梗概
原野上，戴著鐐銬的仇虎從囚車上跳下來。他砸開腳銬，準備找害死父親的焦閻王報仇，卻發現焦閻王已死，昔日的戀人金子也嫁給了焦閻王的兒子——自己的朋友大星。大星愛金子卻又懼怕母親，瞎眼的焦母心狠手辣，對金子異常狠毒。但仇虎突然出現令焦母十分不安……
Synopsis
In the wilderness, a shackled Qiu Hu jumps from his prison car. He is ready to take revenge on Jiao Yan, the man who killed his father, but finds that Jiao Yan is dead and his former lover Jinzi is married to Jiao Yan's son, his friend Daxing. Daxing loves Jinzi but fears his mother, and the blind Jiao mother is ruthless and vicious to Jinzi. But the sudden appearance of Qiu Hu makes Jiao's mother very uneasy ......
《原野》是中國現代文學史上最傑出的戲劇大師曹禺先生的經典名著。通過一個復仇的命運悲劇故事，深刻地展示出作家對「人生困境」的困惑以及對神秘宇宙的哲學思考。
The Wilderness is a classic masterpiece by Cao Yu, one of the most outstanding dramatists in modern Chinese literature. Through a tragic story of revenge and fate, it profoundly demonstrates the writer's perplexity about the "dilemma of life" and his philosophical reflection on the mysterious universe.

全新詮釋
曹禺先生對後人排演他的作品也曾說過，「職業劇團，排《雷雨》會成功，排《日出》會成功，但排《原野》卻可能失敗。」足可見《原野》的排演難度之大。
Directed by He Nian, the national-level director of Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center, the modern version of "The Wilderness" gives a new charm to the classic with a new concept and form. The performance has been well received so far.
New Interpretation
Mr. Cao Yu also said to his descendants rehearsing his works, "Professional theater companies, rehearsing Thunderstorm will be successful, rehearsing Sunrise will be successful, but rehearsing The Original Wilderness may fail." This shows how difficult it is to rehearse The Wilderness.
為了讓一部經典作品能夠再次獲得新時代人們的關注，讓作品的審美情趣能夠和當下的新生代觀眾相契合，上話版《原野》新招頻發。在敘事結構上，它打破了傳統線性敘事的方式，大膽採用了三段輪迴；在舞美布景上，它在現實主義的實景中加入了表現主義的處理方式，用燈光給舞台著色；在舞台呈現上，它融入了一些舞蹈劇場和肢體劇的概念，將時空的交錯和人物性格的複雜進行了深入的剖析和展現。
打破了原劇本的線性敘事，對劇本進行了重新的梳理編排，在寫實的基礎之上用了不少表現主義的手段，將全劇分為三段輪迴，又融入了不少舞蹈劇場的成分，於我而言極具審美快感。
In order to bring a classic work back to the attention of people in a new era, and to make the aesthetic appeal of the work compatible with the new generation of audiences today, the Shanghai drama version of "The Wilderness" has made a lot of new moves. In terms of narrative structure, it breaks the traditional linear narrative and boldly adopts a three-stage reincarnation; in terms of choreography, it adds an expressionist treatment to the realistic scenery and colors the stage with light; in terms of stage presentation, it incorporates some concepts of dance theater and physical theater to deeply analyze and present the interplay of time and space and the complexity of characters' personalities.
It breaks the linear narrative of the original play, rearranges the play, and uses a lot of expressionism on top of realism, divides the play into three rounds, and incorporates a lot of dance theater elements, which is very aesthetic pleasure for me.
